The incidence of anxiety in our pets has grown steadily over recent years, with many dogs now experiencing stress and restlessness when it comes to handling life's everyday events. Coupled with a dramatic increase in dog ownership since the start of the coronavirus pandemic – and with many owners now returning to the workplace, separation anxiety is presenting a challenge for many of our family pets.

Some dogs may also be prone to anxiety owing to a variety of other factors and environmental stressors including thunderstorms, fireworks and travel.

ZamiPet Relax & Calm promotes wellbeing and supports a healthy nervous system in dogs, helping your pet get the most out of every day.

L-Tryptophan: An amino acid that’s broken down in the body to serotonin, which may assist with the regulation of mood, anxiety and appetite. A diet high in L-Tryptophan has been shown to assist with separation anxiety and travel anxiety.

Valerian: A herbal supplement shown to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and hypersensitivity in dogs.
Chamomile: A calming herb that supports dogs with restlessness and helps with mild anxiety.
L-Theanine: An amino acid found in Green Tea and known for its calming properties and alleviating anxiety. It can promote an alert state of relaxation without drowsiness and may reduce nervousness in dogs toward unfamiliar human beings.
Magnesium Citrate: A combination of Magnesium and Zinc may alleviate anxiety in dogs to help assist with fearfulness, destructiveness and inappropriate elimination.
Anxiety is generally the result of a change in either routine, environment or activity. Common types of anxiety in dogs include separation, environmental, social and travel.

Signs of anxiety and stress in dogs include:
- Frequent barking or howling
- Pacing and panting, even when it’s not hot
- Running away or cowering
- Tremoring and hiding before and during thunderstorms
- Vocalisation, marking and changes in appetite
